By accessing and using RateMyBody, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use this website.
These Terms of Service were substantially revised on April 12, 2026. Several sections were rewritten or removed to better reflect our commitment to child safety. If you encounter any content on the platform that appears to conflict with these updated terms, please report it so we can review it promptly.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering an account, uploading content, or using any features of RateMyBody ("the Service"), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. These terms apply to all users of the site, including registered members, guest uploaders, browsers, and contributors of content.
Guest Users: You do not need an account to upload content. By uploading as a guest, you are still bound by these Terms of Service. Your uploads are tracked via cookies and IP address for moderation and legal compliance purposes.
2. Age Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use basic features
- If you are located in the European Union, you must meet the digital age of consent in your country (typically 13–16 years depending on jurisdiction). Some countries have higher requirements (e.g., Australia 16+, France 15+)
- You must be at least 18 years old to access, view, or upload any adult content (suggestive, nude, or explicit)
- By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirements for your jurisdiction
- Providing false information about your age will result in immediate account termination and may result in legal action
2.1 Content Tiers
All content on RateMyBody is classified into one of two tiers:
- Safe Content (13+): Fully clothed, non-sexual content. Everyday outfits, casual wear, sportswear, and swimwear. No nudity, no sexual posing, no sexual context
- Adult Content (18+): All suggestive, nude, or explicit content. Accessible only to verified 18+ users. See Section 6.22 for rules
All content involving users under 18 must be non-sexual. For our complete minor protection policies, see our Minor Protection Policy.
2.2 Prohibited Users
- Registered sex offenders or persons convicted of any sexual offence involving a minor
- Persons subject to a court order restricting access to online platforms or children
- Persons currently under active investigation for a child sexual offence (accounts suspended immediately upon discovery)
- Children under the age of 13
If we discover that an account holder falls into any prohibited category, the account will be permanently terminated without warning. Evidence will be preserved and reported to law enforcement.
2.3 Mixed-Age Platform & Content Separation
RateMyBody hosts both age-appropriate content for users aged 13+ and adult content for users aged 18+. These are separated by age-gating controls:
- Content categories are assigned a minimum age (13+ or 18+). Users who have not verified 18+ access cannot view adult content
- Age restrictions are enforced at the server level. Direct URL access to adult content by a non-18+ user returns a blurred placeholder, not the actual content
- The AI moderation system may reclassify content to a higher restriction level if warranted
No system is infallible. Age-gating relies on the accuracy of information provided at registration. If you are under 18, you must not attempt to access adult content. If you encounter incorrectly categorised content, please report it.
2.4 Parental Responsibility
- RateMyBody allows users aged 13+ to create accounts and upload non-sexual, age-appropriate content. Adult content is also present, restricted behind age-gating controls
- If your child (aged 13–17) uses this platform, you are responsible for monitoring their activity
- While adult content is restricted, no technical control can fully prevent access if false age information is provided
- Parents may use third-party parental control tools to block access to this platform entirely
- To request your child's account removal, contact us via our contact page
- Children under 13 are not permitted. If you believe a child under 13 is using the platform, contact us immediately
3. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination, content removal, and potential legal action:
3.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
- Any content depicting minors (individuals under 18) in a sexual, suggestive, or nude manner is absolutely prohibited
- This includes photographs, videos, drawings, animations, AI-generated imagery, or any other media
- All content involving minors must be non-sexual and age-appropriate
- Violations are immediately reported to NCMEC and law enforcement
- Violators will be subject to criminal prosecution

3.2 Illegal Content
- Non-consensual content: Any images or videos shared without the explicit consent of all individuals depicted
- Revenge porn: Intimate images shared without consent with intent to harm or harass
- Voyeuristic content: Upskirt, downblouse, hidden camera, or any content taken without knowledge and consent
- AI-undressed or deepfake nudity: Any image in which a real person has been digitally stripped or nudified using AI or deepfake tools without explicit consent. Permanent ban on first offence. This is a criminal offence in Finland and many other jurisdictions
3.3 Other Prohibited Content
- Violent content: Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm
- Hate speech: Content promoting hatred or violence against individuals or groups
- Harassment: Content intended to bully, intimidate, or harass others
- Spam: Repetitive, misleading, or commercial content
- Copyright infringement: Content you do not own or have permission to use
- Personal information: Content revealing others' personal information without consent
- Illegal activities: Content depicting or promoting illegal activities
- Impersonation: Content falsely representing another person
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Content Ownership and Rights
By uploading content to RateMyBody, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator or have explicit permission to upload the content
- You are the sole person depicted — multi-person uploads are not permitted
- All individuals depicted in adult content are at least 18 years old
- You have obtained explicit consent from all individuals depicted
- The content does not violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- The content complies with all provisions of these Terms of Service
While your photo is active, other users may purchase a permanent viewable copy using points. Once purchased, the buyer retains access even if you delete the photo or deactivate your account. Only upload photos you are comfortable with remaining permanently accessible to purchasers. See Section 6.18 for details.
4.2 Legal Liability
You are solely responsible for all content you upload. You acknowledge and agree that:
- You bear all legal liability for your uploads
- RateMyBody records your IP address, timestamp, and other metadata with each upload
- This information may be provided to law enforcement upon valid legal request
- You may be held criminally and civilly liable for uploading illegal content
- You indemnify and hold harmless RateMyBody from any claims arising from your content
4.3 Monitoring and Records
For security and legal compliance, we record:
- IP addresses of all users
- Upload timestamps and metadata
- Account activity logs
- Content access and viewing history
- User interactions and ratings
This information is retained in accordance with applicable law and may be disclosed to law enforcement.
5. Content Moderation
RateMyBody reserves the right to:
- Review, approve, or reject any content before or after it is published
- Remove any content that violates these Terms of Service
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Report illegal content and user information to appropriate authorities
- Implement automated content filtering and detection systems
5.1 AI-Powered Content Moderation
We use AI and machine learning to assist with content moderation:
- NSFW Detection: Automatic classification of content into appropriate categories
- Minor Detection: Automatic flagging of content that may depict individuals under 18 in inappropriate categories for human review
- Duplicate Detection: Perceptual image hashing to identify duplicate or previously-removed content
Human Review: Automated decisions that affect your content are subject to human review. You may appeal any moderation decision by contacting us.
EU AI Act Compliance: In accordance with the EU AI Act, we disclose that AI-assisted decision-making is used in content moderation. These systems assist human moderators, not replace them.
6. Platform Features and Conduct
6.1 Photos and Videos
Users may upload photos and videos for community rating. You may upload up to 25 photos at once. Videos generate automatic thumbnails. All uploads are subject to content moderation (Section 5).
All uploads must feature exactly one person. Multi-person uploads are not permitted. This protects the privacy and consent of third parties. Only upload content in which you are the sole subject.
6.2 Rating and Voting
Users may rate photos and videos once per day per item. The "Hot or Not" feature allows daily voting on profiles. Ratings and votes are anonymous and cannot be retracted. Manipulating ratings through fake accounts, bots, or coordinated voting is prohibited.
Photos depicting a person under 18 cannot be rated on the standard 1–10 scale. Instead, a simple Like / Dislike system is used and results display as "Positive" or "Negative" only. The following features are disabled for all minor photos: Purchase, Favourite, Boost, and direct messaging via the photo page. The uploader's identity is displayed as "Identity Hidden."
6.3 User Verification
Users may verify their identity by submitting a photo holding a sign showing "RateMyBody.net", the current date, and their username. Verified users receive a badge, higher content priority, and bonus points. Verification photos are only viewable by administrators. We do not require government-issued ID.
6.4 Avatars
You may upload avatar images for your profile. Avatars are retained for the lifetime of your account and cannot be individually deleted through self-service tools. You may upload multiple avatars and switch between them, or select the default (no avatar) option. To remove specific avatars, submit a request under GDPR Article 17 via our Privacy Request Form. Avatars are subject to the same content rules as all other uploads.
6.5 Messaging and Chat
Registered users may send private messages. All messages are stored and subject to automated scanning for CSAM, grooming patterns, illegal content, and harassment. Messages may be reviewed by authorised moderation staff when flagged. See our Privacy Policy for details. The following are prohibited and will result in account termination:
- Harassment and abuse: Threatening, intimidating, degrading, or persistently unwanted messages
- Unsolicited sexual content: Sending explicit material to someone who has not asked for it
- Body shaming: Messages that mock or demean someone's physical appearance
- Hate speech: Messages targeting someone based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability
- Spam: Repetitive or mass messages to users who have not responded
- Solicitation: Requesting money, gifts, or off-platform paid content
- Illegal content: Sending CSAM, non-consensual images, or other illegal material
- Sexual contact with minors: Any sexual or romantic messaging directed at a user under 18. See below
Users can block other users to prevent further messages.
The following constitute immediate permanent ban and criminal referral when directed at any user under 18:
- Sending sexual messages, descriptions, or propositions
- Sending explicit images, videos, or links to sexual material
- Requesting sexual content from a minor
- Pursuing a romantic or intimate relationship
- Grooming: gradually escalating conversations toward sexual topics or building emotional dependency for a sexual purpose
- Attempting to move a minor to a different platform for private communication
- Offering points, money, or gifts in connection with sexual conversation
- Requesting or suggesting an in-person meeting
If a user's profile indicates they are under 18, you must treat them as under 18 regardless of any other belief about their actual age.

- The platform runs AI-assisted scanning on message threads involving minor accounts
- Flagged threads are reviewed by designated Safeguarding Leads only
- All messages are stored with sender IP, timestamp, and session data for law enforcement
- Minor users have a clearly labelled Report button in all message threads, treated as high-priority
6.6 Friends System
Users may send friend requests. Friendships are mutual. You can remove a friend at any time. Do not use the friends system to harass or stalk other users.
6.7 Profile Comments
Users may leave comments on profiles and photos. Profile owners can hide or delete comments on their own content. Administrators may remove any comment. Community conduct rules (Section 6.8) apply to all comments.
6.8 Community Conduct Standards
RateMyBody is a rating platform. Critical and honest assessments are part of the service. However, there is a clear line between honest rating and targeted abuse.
- Targeted body shaming: Coordinated cruelty designed to make someone feel worthless or driven off the platform
- Racism and racial abuse: Racial slurs, dehumanisation, or racial hatred. Zero tolerance — immediate ban
- Sexism, homophobia, transphobia: Targeted harassment based on gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity
- Religious and ethnic hatred: Targeting someone based on religion, nationality, or cultural identity
- Disability-based abuse: Mocking or targeting based on a disability
- Doxxing: Posting someone's real name, address, workplace, or other identifying information without consent
- Stalking: Repeatedly targeting a specific user across the platform
- Threats: Threats of physical harm, sexual violence, or non-consensual publication of images
- Coordinated pile-ons: Organising mass-reporting, mass-harassment, or mass-downrating of a user
Consequences: Violations result in content removal, muting, suspension (1–30 days), or permanent termination depending on severity. Racial slurs, threats, and doxxing result in permanent bans without warning.
6.9 Points and Leaderboards
Users earn points for various activities. Points contribute to leaderboard rankings. Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency. RateMyBody reserves the right to adjust point values at any time.
6.10 Point Shop
Users may spend points in the Point Shop for virtual items. All purchases are final and non-refundable. Virtual items have no monetary value. RateMyBody reserves the right to modify shop items at any time.
6.11 Favorites
Users may add content to their favorites. Favorited content is visible only to the user.
6.12 Third-Party Login (OAuth)
You may register or log in using Google or X (Twitter). We receive basic profile information only. We do not store your password or post to your accounts. You can disconnect third-party login at any time.
6.13 Random Video Chat
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this feature
- Your webcam and microphone will be activated and transmitted to a randomly matched user via WebRTC
- Adult nudity and sexual content between consenting adults is permitted
- Absolute prohibitions (immediate permanent ban): any involvement of minors; non-consensual exposure; CSAM; zoophilia; any illegal content
- Community conduct standards (Section 6.8) apply in full
- You may report inappropriate behavior using the in-chat Report button
RateMyBody may record short segments of video chat sessions for moderation review. Recordings are reviewed only by authorised staff, retained for a maximum of 30 days (unless required for an investigation), and then deleted. Recordings involving suspected illegal content are preserved and reported to law enforcement. By using this feature, you consent to moderation recording.
You may also be recorded by the other party via screen recording software outside our control. Participate at your own risk.
6.14 Games
RateMyBody offers interactive games. Game scores may be displayed on leaderboards. Truth or Dare requires users to be at least 18. All game content is subject to Section 3 (Prohibited Content). Cheating or exploiting bugs is prohibited.
6.15 Donations
Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and non-tax-deductible. Donations do not entitle you to special privileges or immunity from these Terms. Donations are processed by third-party providers. We do not store payment card details.
6.16 Seasonal and Event Features
RateMyBody may offer time-limited events. All event content is subject to the same rules as regular uploads.
Event content cannot be removed by the uploader through self-service tools. By submitting content to an event, you grant RateMyBody a licence to display it for the lifetime of the feature. You retain your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17 via our Privacy Request Form.
6.17 Photo Boosting
Users may spend 2,500 points to boost a photo, adding 10 votes of rating 10. Maximum 10 boosts per photo. Boosts are final and non-refundable. You may not boost your own photos. Abuse of the boost system may result in reversal and suspension.
6.18 Photo Purchasing
Users may spend points to purchase a permanent viewable copy of a photo. Key terms:
- Purchases are permanent — the buyer retains access even if the original is deleted
- Uploaders may disable purchasing or set their own price via the edit photo modal
- Purchased copies are for personal on-platform viewing only — no downloading or redistribution
- Purchases are final and non-refundable
- Purchasing does not transfer copyright
- Copies removed for legal reasons (CSAM, DMCA, court order) are deleted without refund
6.19 EXIF Data and Embedded Metadata
Photos often contain EXIF metadata including GPS coordinates, device information, and timestamps. By uploading:
- We extract and log EXIF metadata for moderation and legal compliance
- GPS data is stored internally but not displayed to other users
- We strip EXIF data from the publicly served version of your photo
- Raw metadata is retained and may be disclosed to law enforcement
- You are responsible for stripping metadata before uploading if you wish
6.20 AI-Assisted Content Moderation
All uploads are automatically analysed by an AI moderation system for policy compliance. This protects both the community and our volunteer moderators from unnecessary exposure to harmful content. Content flagged as potentially involving a minor is routed directly to designated Safeguarding Leads, bypassing general volunteer moderators entirely.
By uploading, you consent to automated AI analysis. You may appeal any AI decision via our contact form.
6.21 Guest Uploads
- For 30 days from upload, you can request deletion via the unique delete link provided at upload time
- After 30 days, RateMyBody retains a licence to display the photo indefinitely (you remain copyright holder)
- You retain your GDPR right to erasure at any time via our Privacy Request Form
To transfer a guest upload to a registered account, create an account and open a support ticket within 30 days of the original upload.
6.22 Adult and Explicit Content Policy
RateMyBody permits adults (18+) to upload explicit content, subject to these rules. All persons depicted must be at least 18 and the sole subject of the upload.
- Multi-person content: All uploads must show exactly one person
- Non-consensual content: Any content without the voluntary consent of the person depicted
- Revenge pornography: Intimate images shared without consent
- Zoophilic content: Any content involving animals
- Content depicting minors: Any explicit or suggestive content involving a person under 18. Zero tolerance; immediate criminal referral
- AI-generated or simulated minor content: Prohibited under Finnish Criminal Code Chapter 17 §18a
- Deepfake nudity: Any AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery. Permanent ban on first offence
- Commercial sex solicitation: Using the platform to advertise or arrange commercial sexual services is prohibited. RateMyBody is not a marketplace for paid sexual content or services
By uploading adult content, you acknowledge that:
- Your content will be publicly viewable by all 18+ users
- Other users may rate, comment, and favourite your content anonymously
- Comments may include blunt or critical assessments — this is a rating platform
- You are uploading entirely of your own free will, without pressure or coercion
If you are uploading under pressure or duress, do not upload. Contact local support services or submit a report via our Report Abuse Form.
6.23 Viewer Rules and Content Redistribution
Content uploaded to RateMyBody belongs to the individual uploaders. Viewing content gives you no right to copy, save, redistribute, or republish it. Specifically:
- No screenshots or screen recordings of others' content
- No downloading via any means
- No sharing on other websites, social media, or messaging apps
- No using platform content to harass, blackmail, or harm the person depicted
Redistributing intimate images without consent may be a criminal offence (Finnish Criminal Code Chapter 24 §8a and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions). Violations result in permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
7. Consent and Privacy
You acknowledge that:
- Content uploaded may be viewed, rated, and shared by other users
- You should never upload content of others without their explicit consent
- You can request removal of your own content through your account settings
- Deleted content may remain in backups for a reasonable period
- EXIF metadata including GPS data may be retained (see Section 6.19)
- Photo purchases persist after deletion (see Section 6.18)
- Only upload content of which you are the sole subject
8. Platform Staff Conduct
RateMyBody staff, administrators, and moderators are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual, romantic, or intimate relationships with users. This applies regardless of who initiated contact. Staff who violate this are immediately removed.
If you believe a staff member has engaged in inappropriate conduct, report it via our Report Abuse Form. Reports are treated with the highest priority.
Any sexual, romantic, or intimate contact between staff and a user under 18 is an absolute, unconditional prohibition with zero exceptions. This results in:
- Immediate termination with no right of appeal
- Referral to Finnish law enforcement (KRP) and, where applicable, NCMEC and Europol
- Full cooperation with any criminal investigation
- Preservation and disclosure of all logs and communications to investigators
If you are a minor who has been contacted inappropriately by someone claiming to be staff, report it immediately to your local police and via our Report Abuse Form.
- Only designated Safeguarding Leads (account level 50+) may handle any matter involving a user under 18
- All decisions involving minors require agreement from both Safeguarding Leads
- Staff do not privately message individual users — all communications are system-generated
- Manual point awards to minor users are blocked for general staff and logged for Safeguarding Leads
- All staff actions are logged with timestamps and cannot be altered or deleted

9. Account Termination
Your account may be terminated immediately without notice if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms of Service
- You upload prohibited content
- You engage in harassment or abusive behavior
- You provide false information during registration
- Your account is used for illegal activities
- We receive a valid legal request requiring termination
10. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates these terms, please report it immediately:
- Use the "Report" button on any photo or profile
- Contact our moderation team via our Report Abuse Form
- For CSAM, also report directly to NCMEC at CyberTipline.org
11. Intellectual Property
By uploading content, you grant RateMyBody:
- A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and make your content available on the platform
- The right to create thumbnails, previews, and other technical modifications
- The right to cache and store your content on our servers
- The right to use your content to promote, market, and advertise RateMyBody
You retain all ownership rights. This license is perpetual and irrevocable for operational and promotional purposes. Upon deletion, content is removed from public display within a reasonable timeframe. You may exercise your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17 to cease promotional use.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
RateMyBody is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted service, or accuracy of content.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateMyBody shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, damages resulting from user-generated content, or unauthorized access to your transmissions or data.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RateMyBody, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of another party, your violation of applicable laws, or your uploaded content.
15. Dispute Resolution
- Informal Resolution: Contact us via our Contact Form. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.
- EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU consumers may use ec.europa.eu/odr
- Mediation: Disputes may be referred to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.
- Litigation: Subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland, except where EU law provides otherwise.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union. Disputes are subject to Finnish courts, except where EU law provides otherwise for consumer disputes.
- United States: Your use is also subject to US federal laws including 18 U.S.C. §2251-2260 (Child Sexual Exploitation), DMCA, COPPA, and CCPA (California). We report CSAM to NCMEC as required
- European Union: EU users benefit from GDPR protections including rights to access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to lodge complaints with their national DPA
- Other Jurisdictions: Users must comply with their local laws. If local laws conflict with these terms, do not use this service
17. Changes to Terms
RateMyBody reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice, sending an email, or updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms otherwise remain in full force.
19. GDPR and EU Data Protection
As an EU-based service (Finland), we comply fully with the GDPR and the Finnish Data Protection Act. Your full data protection rights are set out in our Privacy Policy, Section 5.

20. DMCA and Copyright Protection (USA)
RateMyBody complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). For complete procedures, see our DMCA Policy page.
Takedown Procedure: Submit a DMCA Takedown Request including: signature of copyright owner, identification of the copyrighted work and infringing material, your contact information, and a good-faith statement.
Counter-Notice: If you believe content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice per 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3).
Repeat Infringer Policy: We terminate accounts of repeat infringers per 17 U.S.C. §512(i).

The EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) applies to RateMyBody as an online platform established in Finland serving EU users.
22.1 Content Moderation Transparency
We use AI systems and human moderators to review content. Details are in Sections 5.1 and 6.20. Minor-related content is routed exclusively to Safeguarding Leads. All significant moderation actions can be appealed.
22.2 Statement of Reasons (Article 17)
When we take action on your content or account, we provide a Statement of Reasons including: the action taken, the legal or policy basis, whether automated or human, and your right to appeal.
22.3 Internal Complaint and Appeal (Article 20)
You may appeal any moderation decision within 30 days via our Contact Form. Appeals are reviewed within 14 days by a moderator not involved in the original decision.
22.4 Out-of-Court Dispute Settlement (Article 21)
EU users may refer unresolved disputes to a certified out-of-court settlement body under DSA Article 21.
22.5 Notices of Illegal Content (Article 16)
Anyone can report content they believe to be illegal using the Report button or our Report Abuse Form. For CSAM and illegal minor content, we act immediately. Knowingly submitting false notices may result in account termination.
22.6 Protection of Minors (Article 28)
Our measures to protect minors include: age-gating all adult content; AI detection routing minor content to Safeguarding Leads only; simplified Like/Dislike rating for minor photos with disabled Purchase, Favourite, Boost, and messaging features; and no behavioural profiling for advertising.

22.8 Transparency Reporting (Article 15)
We publish annual transparency reports covering content moderation volume, AI vs human decisions, notice sources, appeal outcomes, and CSAM reporting statistics. Available on request via our Contact Form.
RateMyBody operates under Finnish and EU law. We cooperate fully with law enforcement worldwide, including Finnish Police (KRP), Europol, FBI, INTERPOL, and NCMEC.
We maintain logs and records as required by law and will provide information upon valid legal process. Users engaging in illegal activities will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of applicable law.
CSAM Reporting: Zero tolerance. All CSAM is immediately reported to KRP, NCMEC CyberTipline, INTERPOL, and relevant national authorities.
