A little extra care for our community
A quick note about a few changes you may notice here. They’re small steps intended to make RateMyBody a safer, clearer, and more welcoming place to visit — even on those late-night, tucked-up-in-bed scrolls.
We love that people come here to share, rate, and unwind. But lately, a small number of people have been using the site to send spam and repeatedly abuse some features. That creates extra work, slows things down, and makes it harder to keep the community welcoming for everyone.
We’ve tried to keep the doors open while dealing with it. These next changes are another practical step to protect the people who use the site in good faith.
1. Members need to verify their email
Starting November 6, 2026, every member account needs a confirmed email address before using the member areas of the site. Guests can still browse public pages. Staff accounts are not affected.
It’s a simple check that helps us reduce throwaway spam accounts and gives you a way to receive important account messages. We know it’s one extra step, and we appreciate your patience.
Check your spam or junk folder (and the Promotions tab, if your email has one). You can also update a mistyped address and request another verification message on the verification page.
2. AI Rating uploads now require an account
Guest uploads to AI Ratings have been turned off. AI photo uploads are still available to signed-in members. This helps us limit repeated misuse of a feature that takes extra resources to run and keep it available for genuine users.
You can still browse as a guest. If you’d like to use AI Ratings, create a free account and verify its email address first.
3. A short wait between guest ratings
Guests need to rate the photo or video currently shown before moving on to another one. Refreshing the page won’t bring up a different item. After a guest rating, that same item stays on screen while a 60-second countdown runs; when the wait is over, the next item becomes available. Members can rate without this guest cooldown.
This small pause helps discourage automated and repeated abuse while still letting guests enjoy rating at a relaxed pace.
4. Live Chat is now for support only
Live Chat is for help with your account or the website. It is not for personal conversation, socializing, flirting, or romantic or sexual messages. Please keep messages focused on your support question, and don’t send personal photos or ask staff for private contact details.
Misusing Live Chat—including personal or sexual messages, harassment, spam, or threats—can result in a permanent ban from the entire RateMyBody account, not just removal from chat. You can read the full Live Chat rules for details.
5. Site news is visible to guests too
Important news flashes can now be seen by guests as well as members, so everyone can keep up with site updates.
Thanks for sticking with us
We know changes like these can be a little inconvenient. They’re not a judgment of ordinary members — they’re a way to make repeated abuse harder, so the rest of us can get back to enjoying the site.
Thanks for being here, and have a peaceful night.
