🎮 What is Life of Kevin?

Life of Kevin is an adult visual novel game produced by the team behind RateMyBody.net, available at lifeofkevin.com. It is a story-driven game featuring AI-generated characters and artwork.

To make character artwork feel more realistic and varied, we offer members the option to let us use their uploaded photo as a visual reference and direct source material when generating in-game characters. This is entirely optional — you stay in full control.

🎨 Your photo (including any nude photos) may appear directly in the game and may also be used as a reference to generate AI character artwork based on your looks.

📦 What exactly gets shared?

When you give permission, the following is transferred to our secure Life of Kevin production server:

Your original photo (the version before any watermark is added)
Your nude photo(s), if the uploaded photo is nude or explicit
Basic metadata: gender, hair colour, eye colour, body type, skin tone, ethnicity (all AI-detected)
Your age (from your profile or what you entered at upload)
Upload country
A record that you gave permission (consent log)

🚫 What is NOT transferred

Your name, email address or username
Your account password or any login data
Your IP address (beyond country)
Any payment or billing information
Any other photos you have uploaded

🔒 The Life of Kevin server is operated by the same team as RateMyBody.net and is not shared with any third party. Files are stored securely and only used for game character generation.

✅ Permitted uses

Use your original photo and nude photos directly in the game, including in adult scenes
Use your photo as a visual reference for AI character generation
Create AI-generated artwork inspired by your appearance
Include AI-generated characters based on your looks in the game, including adult scenes
Retain derived artwork and transferred photos permanently (even if you later opt out — see below)

🚫 Not permitted

Sell or license your photo to any third party
Use your photo for anything unrelated to Life of Kevin
Claim ownership of your original photo
Identify you by name or link the character to your real identity

ℹ️ Characters in Life of Kevin are fictional. Even where your original photo is used directly, the character is given a different name, backstory and personality. No one playing the game will know who you are unless you tell them.

☑️ How does the permission work?

You have two ways to control the game permission for each photo: at upload time and after uploading.

At upload time

When you upload a photo on RateMyBody.net you will see a checkbox like this:

💡 We may use your original photo and / or AI-generated images based on your looks as a character in our visual novel at lifeofkevin.com. This includes adult scenes. Opt out by unchecking.

Checked (default) — you give permission. Your photo will be transferred to Life of Kevin after it is approved on RateMyBody.net.
Unchecked — no permission granted. Your photo stays on RateMyBody.net only and is never sent to Life of Kevin.

The checkbox is pre-checked by default as a convenience. You can uncheck it at any time before submitting.

After uploading — the 🎮 toggle button

If you are a registered member you can change the game permission for any existing approved photo at any time using the 🎮 Visual Novel button on your Photos tab (go to your profile → Photos):

🎮 Purple = VN On — photo is allowed in the game (tooltip: “Allowed to be used in game”)

🎮 Grey = VN Off — photo will not be shared with the game (tooltip: “Not allowed to be used in game”)

Clicking the button instantly toggles the setting — no page reload needed. You can also change it inside the ✏️ Edit Photo modal using the Visual Novel checkbox, which is always in sync with the button.

⚠️ Important: Turning the button off prevents your photo from being included in future automated transfer batches. However, if the photo was already transferred to Life of Kevin before you turned it off, that copy remains on their server. Use the deletion request below to have it removed.

⏱️ When does the transfer happen?

You upload a photo with the game permission checkbox checked.

AI moderation reviews your photo (usually within a few minutes). It checks age, content rules, and categorises your photo.

If approved, your original photo — including any nude/explicit content — is automatically sent to the Life of Kevin server along with the metadata listed above.

If the transfer fails (server issue, network hiccup), a retry runs every 15 minutes automatically.

If your photo is rejected by moderation, it is never transferred to Life of Kevin.

🚪 How do I opt out?

Before uploading

Simply uncheck the game permission checkbox on the upload form before you submit. Your photo will not be sent to Life of Kevin under any circumstances.

After uploading — toggle per photo (instant)

Go to your profile → Photos tab. Each approved photo shows a purple 🎮 button. Click it to turn it grey (off). This immediately marks the photo as not allowed for the game and stops it from being included in future transfers. You can reverse this at any time by clicking the button again (it turns purple).

You can also uncheck the Visual Novel checkbox inside the ✏️ Edit modal for the same effect — both controls are linked and always in sync.

After uploading (GDPR erasure right)

If your photo has already been transferred to the Life of Kevin server and you want it removed, you have the right to request deletion of your original photo from our production server. Note: AI-generated artwork derived from your photo cannot be deleted — once generated, artwork exists independently and we cannot technically identify and remove every derived image. This is standard practice across AI art tools and is covered in our Terms of Service §6.25.

📧 Request deletion of your original photo from Life of Kevin

Contact us via the contact form with the subject line "Life of Kevin Photo Removal". Include your username (or guest upload details) and the approximate upload date. We will remove your original photo from the production server within 30 days.

📄 Legal summary

By leaving the checkbox checked when you upload, you grant RateMyBody.net / Life of Kevin a:

Non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use your photo (including nude photos) directly in the Life of Kevin visual novel and as a visual reference for generating fictional character artwork. Derived works (AI-generated characters) and transferred photos created during the licence period remain valid even if the licence is later revoked.

We comply with GDPR. Your original photo is considered personal data. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of it at any time by contacting us.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Will anyone know it's me in the game?

No. Characters are given entirely fictional names and identities. There is no tag, credit or link to your RateMyBody profile. The character just happens to look similar to you.

Will my original photo appear publicly in the game?

Yes, it can. Your original photo — including any nude photos — may be used directly in the game as well as serving as a reference for AI-generated character artwork. Your identity is never revealed; the character will have a fictional name and backstory.

I uploaded as a guest — is my photo still transferred?

Yes, if you left the checkbox checked. Guest uploads are treated the same as member uploads for this purpose. Your photo was already age-verified by AI (must be 18+) before transfer.

Does the transfer cost me anything?

No. There is no cost to you. You do not receive payment for it either — it is a voluntary contribution, similar to donating reference photos to an artist.

Can I see which photos of mine were transferred?

If you have a registered account, staff can confirm which of your photos were transferred. Contact us via the contact form.

What if I change my mind after opting in?

You can request deletion of your original photo from the Life of Kevin server at any time. See the opt-out section above. AI artwork already generated from your photo will remain in the game.

Is this the same as the community rating system?

No. The community rating system publishes your photo on RateMyBody.net for members to rate. The game permission is a separate checkbox that only controls whether your photo is sent to Life of Kevin. You can use one, both, or neither.

Who operates Life of Kevin?

Life of Kevin is operated by the same team as RateMyBody.net. It is not a third-party company. Your data does not leave our control.

Can I upload directly to Life of Kevin without going through RateMyBody?

Yes! You can donate photos or videos directly to the game at lifeofkevin.com/donatemedia. That route sends your media straight to the Life of Kevin production team without creating a RateMyBody profile or public rating.
